Reviewed by Mrs Evans 15th June 2019 “Absolutely stunning location & My dogs loved the 1/2 an acre garden. The cottage itself was clean and homely and there are plenty of dvds left by the owners if you want to watch them. The location was extremely quiet and the cottage is not overlooked and is very private. I was looking forward to the dark skies Northumberland offers, but sadly not this time, but obviously that had nothing to do with the cottage. Thoroughly enjoyed it ”
Reviewed by Margaret 1st June 2019 – The cottage was excellent. Cosy lounge with TV etc. Large dining room. Kitchen modern with lots of equipment. 2 double bedrooms and bathroom. The cottage was always warm and welcoming . Long drive to park cars, and a secure back garden with large field at back, wonderful for our dog to chase a ball. Eating outside for breakfast was wonderful, listening to lots of birds. Very good to explore all the beautiful villages ,castles and beaches nearby.

Steve And Sandra 16th September 2017 – Cherry Tree Cottage was fantastic. Home from home everything you needed was there. Location was ideal for walks into Warkworth & Amble. We also visited Berwick, Alnwick, Holy Island, Seahouses, Beadnell and lots of other places. We will definitely go back to Northumberland again.
Reviewed by Sue 25th August 2017 – Cherry Tree was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The garden was neat and tidy and there was plenty of outdoor seating. Parking was off road. The location of the cottage made it easy to visit several coastal villages i.e Amble and Alnmouth along with the Castle and Gardens in Alnwick. Everywhere we went we found lovely places to eat.
Reviewed by Fiona 8th July 2017 – Great proportions to the rooms, well kitted out, lovely renovation of a cottage and the boys loved the huge garden. Kitchen was well equipped and we had ample hot water etc. Land ranger map and binoculars are a fantastic idea to have in the house, both returned after walks we had, thanks. We had a wonderful week in Cherry Tree cottage, it’s very comfy with plenty of space for everyone. Well kitted out and a lovely setting and there’s plenty to do round about. We are a young family and we enjoyed visiting Amble and Warkworth beaches, Bamburgh Castle, Whitehouse Farm Park and just walking through the numerous dunes and beaches along the coastline with a bit of wave jumping thrown in. The highlight of the holiday was a trip out on a boat with the Billy Shiel’s company. Three hours of boating around the Farne islands and a landing in Inner Farne to see the historic island and its inhabitants of seabirds and of course the adorable puffins. Well worth the trip. Mainly cooked at home but we did have a fabulous meal at the Old Boathouse in Amble and a lovely coffee and cake in Dollie’s & Daisy’s Tearoom. Great holiday. We had a wonderful break and would definitely recommend Cherry Tree cottage to others and Cottages in Northumberland were a good company for us to deal with too.
